Method

  • ATI conducts ongoing research using procedures based in Item Response Theory (IRT) to evaluate all student responses to each item in the ATI item banks. 
  • The most recent analyses included item responses from more than 75,000 Arizona students served by ATI districts/charters.
  • This research estimates item parameters describing item characteristics including discrimination, difficulty, and guessing.
